About Fenella Collins MRICS

Fenella Collins is the CLA’s Head of Planning based in London. Her role is to provide advice to CLA members and to research, develop and promote CLA policy across planning issues as they affect rural areas, and designated areas too. She is responsible for developing and maintaining good working relationships with relevant government officials as well as evaluating and responding to national consultations relating to the planning system. Fenella’s particular policy challenge is to devise more flexible planning polices for rural areas to provide for the needs of rural businesses and communities whilst at the same time improving the natural environment.
